Born and raised in Midland, Michigan and trained at Columbia University and Taliesin, Alden B. Dow designed hundreds of structures–from private residences to civic buildings, churches, and learning institutions–throughout his multi-decade career. Several of these, including the Towsley Residence and the Downtown Ann Arbor District Library, are part of the Tree Town landscape.
